Cacao ceremonies - Immersive, relaxing and releasing
Our next block of Cacao Ceremonies will be held again in the beautiful setting of Pembrey Hall, Carmarthenshire. Come and join us this Autumn, as we look to slow down and seek some relief from the heaviness and busy pace of life.
Our cacao ceremonies are slow, immersive, and deeply relaxing. They weave together breathwork, group shamanic healing, sacred music, the cleansing scent of sage, the rhythm of drums, and, of course, the heart-opening power of cacao.
It’s a space to find down time away from a busy mind, to stop doing and to release all that which doesn't serve, finding solace and clarity.
Please book on the links below, to reserve your space.
Cacao ceremonies have ancient roots, dating back over 3,000 years to the Olmec civilization of Mesoamerica. As early as 1500 BCE, cacao was cultivated and revered as a sacred “food of the gods,” used in daily rituals and offered in gratitude to the divine mother. Over time, as cultures evolved and tribes rose and fell, this sacred plant medicine was cherished through the subsequent ages of the Toltecs, Mayans, and Aztecs.
During the Spanish Conquest in the 1500s, when explorers arrived from the Old World in search of treasures in the New, they encountered this unique and sacred food. Cacao comes from the seeds of the Theobroma Cacao tree, whose pods grow directly from the trunk and branches. Once harvested, the pods are opened, the beans extracted, fermented, dried, roasted, and then shelled—leaving behind the pure cacao “nibs. This process is still followed, almost 3000 yeas later.
Cacao is a sacred plant medicine used to help us reconnect with our truth. It supports the release of what no longer serves us and helps us set clear, heartfelt intentions. With its gentle, heart-opening qualities, cacao invites emotional release, inner stillness, and a deep sense of calm.
